PROGRAM
week 1 - speed // weird world order
6:30PM SPEED presents a sculptural reimagining of contemporary tailoring, merging sustainability with subversive form. Founded by Alvi Chung, the label is known for its immersive runway environments and material-led approach, blending remnant fabrics with unconventional luxury.
8PM WEIRD WORLD ORDER, the living archive of Julianna Yao, operates as a dark and emotional exploration of identity. Rooted in the raw, the strange and the unseen, each garment becomes a form of armour — a distorted, ritualistic expression where fashion is not shown, but summoned.
WEEK 2 - SHIYO // LANTERNA
6:30PM SHIYO, founded by Shiva Yousefpour, brings an avant-garde and materially driven perspective, blending Persian heritage with Japanese craftsmanship. Through zero-waste design, upcycling and sculptural construction, each piece reflects a commitment to sustainability and experimental form.
7:30PM LANTERNA channels a hyper-feminine and unapologetically sensual energy through its signature micro silhouettes. Designed by Carolina Lanterna and handmade in Sydney, the label moves fluidly between swimwear and nightlife, celebrating the body as both subject and statement.
WEEK 3 - BAAQIY // A-D-ATELIER
6:30PM BAAQIY, the Melbourne-based label by Baaqiy Ghazali, has quickly emerged within the fashion landscape, with work featured in Vogue Australia, Rolling Stone and Jane Magazine. The brand’s designs reflect a contemporary sensibility shaped by both emerging perspective and growing cultural impact.
8:00PM A-D ATELIER explores the intersection of latex, art and contemporary design. Established in 2016, the practice approaches natural latex as both medium and message, producing made-to-order pieces defined by precision, craftsmanship and a strong material identity.
WEEK 4 - RÉSEAU // PIGSUIT
6:30PM RÉSEAU draws from the tension surrounding women often labelled as ‘evil’, reframing femininity as something complex, emotional and misunderstood. The label explores a darker, more introspective beauty shaped by experience, isolation and quiet intensity.
8:00PM PIGSUIT, by Brisbane-based designer Rhiannon Daly, is informed by Māori heritage and defined by an irreverent, against-the-grain aesthetic. Blending cultural perspective with humour and subcultural influence, the label champions femme, queer and non-binary identities while maintaining a strong commitment to community and social impact.
